The Rotary Club of Tampin existed in spirit as early as 1960 when a few service orientated leaders from the government, commerce and professionals residing in Tampin mooted the idea of establishing the first service club to promote community service.
Our founder President, a service minded doctor serving the local community at that time, the late Dr. Haji Sulaiman bin Mohd. Attas was instrumental in garnering support from the pioneering members and having the club chartered by Rotary International on the 26th of April 1961. From then on, the club has been serving the community through the many programs of Rotary till now and we are still going stronger with each passing years.
Currently, our club membership consist of males only both young and old. With this special blend of experience and youth, our club continues to serve and has gone far in reaching out to fulfill the changing needs of our community. We welcome ladies to join us although we do not have any now.

Our club banner depicts a microwave station on top of Tampin Hill, which is the most prominent landmark when approaching Tampin. The graphic rubber trees and paddy plants around the Rotary Wheel best describe the location of Tampin being surrounded by outlying rural areas of rubber plantations and paddy fields as the main agricultural economic activity during the nineteen sixties.
